New Britain Symphony

The New Britain Symphony Orchestra is a professional orchestra that has been performing in the greater New Britain area since 1950. The orchestra serves the youth of the area by sponsoring and performing enrichment programs and young people’s concerts free to schoolchildren in New Britain, Berlin and Plainville. An annual judged competition awards a music scholarship to a local high school senior. Children under the age of 18 are admitted free to the concerts held at Welte Hall at Central Connecticut State University.
