Visitors to the New Britain Industrial Museum are routinely amazed by the range of products pioneered in New Britain from the common coat hanger to high-tech products for the military and aerospace industries. Located on the second floor of the ITBD Building, CCSU’s presence downtown, the museum is open Monday through Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. and Wednesdays from 12:00 to 5:00 P.M. Over 50 industries are represented by products made in New Britain over the last 200 years. The Museum regularly changes exhibits and fields questions from folks all over the U.S. on its web site. Members receive a Quarterly Newsletter covering various aspects of New Britain's industrial history. The Museum is operated entirely by volunteers and admission is free.
