The
New Britain Camera Club is a diverse group of individuals who have
a shared interest in photography. Camera Club members are not professionals,
but ordinary
residents of New Britain and environs who take pictures for fun. Interests
of the Club’s members span most aspects of photography including digital and
film, prints and slides, color and monochrome, point and shoot and 35 mm. Meetings
are held at the New Britain Public Library Community Room at 6:45 pm on the second
Thursday of each month for Photo Instruction and the third Thursday for Contest
Night. Travelogue programs are occasionally presented featuring guest speakers
who show entertaining slide shows on interesting areas all over the world. Trophies
and special awards are presented at the Club’s banquet in May. A monthly
newsletter called the "Fotogram" is mailed to all members. |
